Virtual Family Reading Night - Tuesday, March 2nd from 6:00-7:00 PM!

As mentioned above, this week is "Read Across America" week, and we have some plans to make it fun for kids and emphasize the importance and joy of reading!

One of our big traditions here is our annual "Family Reading Night", and we're not going to let COVID stop us! Our amazing teachers have come up with a way to have our reading night done virtually from home. On Tuesday night, this schedule link will be active, and it will give your family access to the various "virtual reading rooms" where teachers will be reading their favorite short stories multiple times between 6:00-7:00 PM. All you and your kids will need to do is click the link to "enter the room" just as they do now for their Google Classroom Meets. "Oh, the Places We'll Go!"
We invite students to participate in our schoolwide Read Across America Reading Challenge!  All kids who meet their grade-level reading goal for the week and submit the tracking form here will earn BEEP cards AND be entered into a drawing for three Kindle Fire tablets to be given away at random!

Also, we have "Read Across America" Spirit Days planned by our Student Leadership kids for this week as well:

Monday, 3/1 "Thing One and Thing Two" ~ Twin Day
Tuesday, 3/2 ~ "Horton Hears a Who" ~ Crazy Hair Day
Wednesday, 3/3 ~ "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" ~ Wear red or blue Thursday, 3/4 ~ "Fox in Socks" ~ Wear crazy socks
Friday, 3/5 ~ "I Can Read With My Eyes Closed" ~ Wear Sunglasses

Should be a great week! Make plans to join us from the comfort of your homes on Tuesday night!
